Spectra Analysis Instruments, Inc. is saddened to announce the peaceful, yet unexpected passing of its President, George J. Giansanti, Jr., on January 30, 2019. George is survived by his wife Martha, his stepson, his stepdaughter, two grandsons, a granddaughter, his sister, two brothers, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt.
George Giansanti co-founded Spectra Analysis Instruments, Inc. with colleagues William W. Carson and Sidney Bourne. He served as President of Spectra Analysis from 2004 to 2019. During that time, George infused the company with deeply held values of integrity, compassion, and honesty. George was a passionate entrepreneur, and a respected and trusted businessman and mentor, with the vision to establish Spectra Analysis and the steady hand to guide the company through good and bad times. Prior to co-founding Spectra Analysis, George proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, and managed startups such as Micro Networks Corporation and GMT Microelectronics.
The company’s Board of Directors has appointed Chief Executive Officer, Umberto Saini Fasanotti, as interim President of the company, and is committed to honoring George’s legacy by continuing to take the company forward in accordance with his vision.
